WELCOME TO NJAWBO
The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) is the longest-standing statewide organization of women business owners in New Jersey. Its primary objective is to support and encourage business ownership by women. Since 1978, NJAWBO has helped women achieve their business visions by providing them with the tools to develop and grow their enterprises.
The increasing success of women-owned businesses in our society will continue to build on itself and contribute to the development of still more confident women, running thriving, thoroughly accepted businesses. And the very special place of NJAWBO – women supporting women – will continue to be an important environment for women business owners in New Jersey.
With the slowly increasing opportunities for women, ups and downs of the economy, fast-paced changes in technology and unique challenges women business owners face today, our mission is more important than ever before.
The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners encourages and supports business ownership by women, offering myriad opportunities for networking, collaboration, education, leadership, professional development, and mentoring. NJAWBO serves as the voice of women business owners to the New Jersey Legislature.
NJAWBO, the most essential organization for women business owners in the State of New Jersey and those who want to do business with them.

Every time I attend a NJAWBO Event, I learn something I can take back to improve my business. Plus, I am always energized by this network of smart, savvy business professionals helping one another to succeed! —-Laura E. Graziano
I believe it’s important for both members and non-members to come to the NJAWBO MetroEast events because being in business means a commitment to continuous learning. At our networking events, we not only share best practices but also share our stories of struggle and success—and businesses, especially when you are in them for the long-haul, are built on both.– Lawrese Brown
Because of my many experiences in NJAWBO from chairing a committee to running the organization, I matured professionally and personally while making lifelong friendships..– Sue Fitzpatrick
After visiting NJAWBO only twice, I knew I was interested in getting involved. The emphasis on women supporting women and the energy toward strategic positive thinking, as well as hard work, is what compelled me to raise my hand. I am excited to work with the organization and continue to add value to the women-owned businesses in NJ. — Jamie Cohen
NJAWBO is an organization that, from my first event, I knew I wanted to join. The room was filled with members who showed mutual respect and admiration for one another, and the level of support the members commit to each other was bar none. I knew I was home from the beginning, and I am so excited to be part of such an amazing group of women. — Lindsay Haug
I felt immediately welcomed since my first lunch. It was so interesting and at the same time empowering to hear from other women about their businesses, careers, families, and lives. I realized that we share the same problems as businesswomen, mothers, and members of the community. I met professional, experienced women, and everyone inspired me. I support NJAWBO because it’s exciting to help, share, and learn, and at the same time, empower NJ women-owned businesses. — Silvia Papini
